Zhejiang Fenghong New Material Co., Ltd. was established in December, 2008. Its predecessor is Zhejiang Fenghong Clay Chemical Co., Ltd. which has been engaged in bentonite for more than 30 years.

The company is a professional manufacturer, which combines the high-tech research and development of bentonite and other non-metallic minerals, large-scale series production and equal emphasis on domestic and oversea market. It administers the following manufacturers: 1. Zhejiang Huate New Material Co., Ltd. 2. Hangzhou Jingyi Chemical Co., Ltd. 3.Huate North Chemical Co., Ltd. 4.Chaoyang Fenghong Montmorillonite Co., Ltd. 5.Zhejiang Fenghong Montmorillonite Co., Ltd. 6.Zhejiang Fenghong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. 7.Hangzhou Fenghong Environment  Technology Co., Ltd.  The company covers an area of more than 500,000 m², and the workshop buildings cover 80,000 m², with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons Rheology Modifier (organic bentonite) and 200,000 tons inorganic bentonite(inorganic gel). 




The company values scientific research and innovation. It is a national high-tech enterprise, with its independent research institute, provincial center of research and development, Zhejiang bentonite experiment (pilot studies) base. Meantime, the company pays attention to co-research and co-development, building up joint laboratories with Ningbo Material Institute of The Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhejiang University, South China University of Technology, and Shandong University of Science and Technology. It is the drafter of China Bentonite National Standard, and the director of Bentonite Professional Committee of China Non-ore Institute. The company leads two projects of National Valued New Products, one project of National Torch Plan and one project of Science and Technology Innovation Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises. Also, it is awarded with the second prize of Technological Progress in China Petrochemical Corporation (ministry), third and first prize of Technological Progress in Zhejiang, and second prize of National technological Progress successively. 



The company knows the importance of resource very well, and initiates “An Investigating Project of China Bentonite Resource”, which has last for 3 years, and covered almost every Chinese known bentonite mine. So it grasps the general situation of China bentonite resource. Currently, it owns three Mining permits, more than 2000 mou of mining faces, 8 mines of million tons of average bentonite reserve. It can guarantee 100 years of raw ore supply under normal capacity condition.  



For decades, the company turns to produce organic or inorganic series bentonite of high technological content, instead of single primary products.The products are applied to coatings, printing ink, oil exploration, engineering plastic, metallurgical construction project, fine chemicals and geological exploration. The products sell domestically to 28 provinces, municipalities, autonomous region, and export to twenty more countries and regions such as Southeast Asia, Europe and America, Middle East. It has a 65% of market share in China and is the biggest manufacturer of refined bentonite in Asia, and one of the three biggest manufacturers of bentonite in the world.
